--Wilson Reading System aligns with the core curriculum being implemented for K-8 and is an approved Dyslexia program by the International Dyslexia Association.
--The NLRSD has spent $94,500 in training and materials for the Wilson Reading System.
--Twenty-four interventionists will be certified in the Level 1 Practicum by the end of this school year.

So many of our students, teachers, and administrators wore red to bring awareness to dyslexia! October is Dyslexia Awareness Month.

It's National Principals Month! Dr. Pilewski presented our principals and building leaders with plaques to them for their steadfast leadership and outstanding service to the students and staff at their respective campuses.

The Parent North S.T.A.R. (Supporting Teachers, Achieving Results) recipients are Thaddeus and Latanya Rodgers. They became foster parents and welcomed a young boy into their home. When he expressed his wish to have his siblings join him, the couple adopted them all!
