This multi-day event is an opportunity for students to showcase projects that make a difference in their communities, to network with peers and industry professionals, and to experience a professional conference unlike any other.

At tonight's meeting, Pike View Early Childhood Center students and staff demonstrated how their campus community garden is used to teach math, science, and literacy. Students have cultivated a vibrant variety of fruits and vegetables, gaining hands-on experience by managing every stage of the growing cycle, from the first seed planted to the final harvest.
Special thanks to Board Secretary Natalie Wankum and Kristi and Michael Boles, operators of the David's Burgers in NLR, for coordinating this undergarment/sock drive for our elementary students. We appreciate the support of our community!

Mrs. Brigetta Starks, a social studies teacher at the Sixth Grade Campus, recently showcased her incredible dedication to our students.
When a colleague was out, Mrs. Starks went the extra mile by voluntarily teaching engaging science lessons to those students in addition to her regular social studies classes. She temporarily took on a second subject to ensure those students did not miss vital instruction.
Mrs. Starks. whose been with the district for 25 years, remains a model educator whose passion for students and commitment to her campus is truly inspiring.
Thank you, Mrs. Starks!

Jordan Keane, who teaches 9th Grade English Language Arts, received the Superintendent's Honor Roll recognition! Carmen Langston, the Coordinator of Reading, Literacy, and English Language Arts, nominated her for the honor.
Keane has gone above and beyond to support our students and staff and has demonstrated her commitment by leading her colleagues in Professional Learning Communities to ensure meaningful, student-focused work. She also volunteers her FLEX period time to help any student who needs reading comprehension assistance—even those not officially in her classes!
Beyond the classroom, she sponsors the Anime Club and serves on the AVID site team, often spending numerous hours outside of school preparing high-quality, engaging lessons. Walk into her classroom and you immediately feel the tone of respect and care. Ms. Keane doesn’t shout; she encourages, helps, and ensures every student is seen and engaged in high-quality instruction!
