Studying agriculture exposes scholars to a diverse range of career opportunities. A recent USDA report indicates that 22.1 million full- and part-time jobs were related to agricultural and food sectors. It’s National FFA Week, and as we prepare for the launch of the North Little Rock 6 Academy of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences in the fall, we will take a look at some potential careers in agriculture.
Career #3: Food Scientist
A food scientist focuses on the quality, safety, and nutritional value of food products through research and development. They also ensure that companies follow food safety standards, while serving on the front lines of creating new food products.

Due to ice and snow in the forecast, the NLRSD will be on a modified schedule and will dismiss early on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
