It's Public Schools Week!
Reason #5 to attend the NLRSD: Sense of Community
The North Little Rock School District is situated in such a generous community, and they want to see our schools and our students doing well. Many of them do this by volunteering on our campuses or even mentoring our students. We cherish this partnership, for it is truly beneficial for our students and staff.

The Superintendent and Board of Education recognized Amboy's 2nd and 3rd grade basketball team and Boone Park's 4th and 5th grade team on winning the championship in their respective divisions!
What a phenomenal elementary basketball season!

At tonight's meeting, a group of Crestwood students performed a portion of a scene of "Finding Nemo." This spring, the school will present Annie Jr.
Be sure to check them out!

At tonight's Regular Board Meeting, Crestwood Elementary School fifth grader Annie McCormick led the Pledge of Allegiance and fifth grader Roman Valovich gave the invocation.

Reason #4 to attend the NLRSD: Support for Each Child’s Academic Needs
We want every student to thrive, and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that. We provide accommodations and services to support students who need a boost or greater academic depth. We look forward to working with families to enhance their student’s educational experience.

The NLRHS student ambassadors represent their campus and respective career academy. They provide students, potential students, families, and businesses with information on their school, their paths of study, and represent the student body at various events.
The ambassadors are model scholars and do an exceptional job of promoting their school and providing insight on the various opportunities afforded to students.

Reason #3 to attend the NLRSD: Qualified Staff
Our dedicated staff have truly done their homework. They have the degrees and certifications to serve in the spaces they occupy as mandated by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education. In addition, they continue to develop new skills and techniques through ongoing professional development.

It's Public Schools Week!
Reason #2 to attend the NLRSD: Variety of Extracurricular Activities
Yes, we are committed to teaching and learning in the NLRSD, but we also know learning continues after the school day ends. Are you interested in choir or band? We have it. Are you an aspiring thespian? We can help you with that. Want to play sports on the next level? You can join us. Do you want to be a part of the academic competitions? You can do that right here with us.

It's Public Schools Week!
Reason #1 to attend the NLRSD: Diverse School Community
The North Little Rock School District is extremely diverse, and our campuses bring together students from all walks of life. Our students come from homes where more than 20 different languages are spoken, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of our community. This creates a vibrant and welcoming environment for everyone.

All NLRSD campuses and offices will reopen on Monday, February 24, at their regular times. For our high school students, tomorrow will be an A Day.
See you tomorrow!

Studying agriculture exposes scholars to a diverse range of career opportunities. A recent USDA report indicates that 22.1 million full- and part-time jobs were related to agricultural and food sectors. It’s National FFA Week, and as we prepare for the launch of the North Little Rock 6 Academy of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences in the fall, we will take a look at some potential careers in agriculture.
Career #7: Soil Scientist
A soil scientist studies land and water resources to better understand soil that will be used for agriculture, forestry, and urban development. A soil scientist is the go-to person for all things related to preserving soil for growing communities, potential water shortages, food supply and demand, and erosion.

Want to learn more about our schools?
Join us for the School Choice Fair on March 11 in the NLRHS Cafeteria. Meet staff, explore programs, and discover opportunities for students. Open to current and potential families!

Happy Friday!

As a result, all schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 21. Central Office sites, however, will open at 10 AM for 12-month employees.
