Corbin Pitts, rising Freshman at NLRHS, just finished shooting the feature film, "Ghosts of the Ozarks," starring Tim Blake Nelson, David Arquette, and Tara Perry. The film is one of the first approved by SAG AFTRA to begin shooting in the wake of COVID-19. Congrats, Corbin!

Tennis tryouts will be held July 9 at noon at the Lakewood Tennis Courts.
Anyone interested needs to bring their own racket and water. Participants must wear a mask. Social distancing measures will be implemented.

We are preparing to begin Returning Student Registration. Our new registration program allows you to easily update any information and to verify your child will be attending the North Little Rock School District for the 20-21 school year. Registration log-in instructions will be sent to your email on Monday, June 15. You will receive this email if your guardian email address is updated in HAC. For help updating your guardian email, visit nlrsd.org, click on the Registration tab, and watch the videos on how to do this.

Our plan is to still have our in-person graduation ceremony, set for Saturday, July 25 at Barton Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. However, our ability to do so still depends on Governor Asa Hutchinson's directives on large gatherings and the possibility of moving into the next phase.

Next week, schools will begin the process of collecting Chromebooks and library books and will also be returning school supplies. Please look for announcements from your child's school as it relates to dates and times that you can return and pick up items. You may find announcements on their child's school Facebook page or Google classroom.
North Little Rock High School and the North Little Rock Center of Excellence will be accepting Chromebooks during the week of May 18. You will also be able to turn in uniforms, calculators, and other items.

By a unanimous vote, the North Little Rock Board of Education named Dr. Keith McGee as the Interim Superintendent of the North Little Rock School District.
