We are attempting to reach every family as required by the Arkansas Department of Education. We have over 6000 who have yet to fill this out. The elementary school with the most submissions before Spring Break will receive a reward. The IHE class with the most submissions will receive a popcorn party. Also, please make plans to attend our "Calling All Dads and Male Role Models" session on Sunday, which will feature the founders of "Dads on Duty" from Shreveport, La. They first appeared on CBS Evening News. Come and hear how they have made a positive impact in schools.

October is National Principals Month. Dr. Pilewski presented Dr. Coleman with a plaque to thank her for her steadfast leadership and outstanding service to the students and staff at Indian Hills.
Congratulations, Dr. Coleman!
Pulaski County Sheriff Eric Higgins and members of the department presented Indian Hills with a check for $1,140. The school received the Red Ribbon Week grant. The money will be used to purchase items to educate students on drug awareness and the dangers of drugs.
The North Little Rock Health Department will be at Indian Hills Elementary School on October 8, 2021, for a Flu Clinic from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Packets are going home this week. Please fill out the front and back of the Immunization Consent form and DON'T FORGET TO SIGN the consent form AND permission slip on the back of the packet. If you have any kind of insurance coverage, please put that information on the form. There is NO COST to you for the flu shot. Return all forms to the school by Thursday, October 7, 2021.

The Parent North S.T.A.R. (Supporting Teachers, Achieving Results) recipients are Thaddeus and Latanya Rodgers. They became foster parents and welcomed a young boy into their home. When he expressed his wish to have his siblings join him, the couple adopted them all!

Now that we are finishing the fourth week of school, we want to ensure that IHE has all the necessary parent signatures needed from each student. A lot of parents have already completed this during the registration process. Attention Parents of Car Rider Students!
Please continue to help us with our dismissal. Car riders exit the front of the building and wait under the covered awnings. We have two lanes of cars for pick up. To help us move the car lines faster, please POST A SIGN with your child’s NAME and GRADE on the passenger side of your vehicle?

The NLR Middle School tennis team will have tryouts on Monday, August 23 at 4:30 at Burns Park Tennis Center. Fifth grade students can join this team!
