Attention Parents and Families. Please be aware of the new fighting policy the NLRSD Board of Education approved last week:
The complete policy can be read at the link: however, here are some highlights of the change:
● Students who engage in a physical altercation will immediately be suspended for three days
as school administrators conduct a thorough investigation.
● Students who participate in a fight can be considered for an immediate change to their learning environment.
● Students will be assigned a “Return to School Campus” plan that addresses the next steps before
going back to their respective school building.
● Counseling sessions may be conducted to assist students with conflict resolution strategies.
