Congratulations to the 57 students in grades 3–5 who leveled up in two or more areas on the ATLAS test! Their hard work earned them a trip to Sky Zone Trampoline Park! 💜💫

Earlier this week, all 3rd–5th grade students who leveled up to a Level 3 or 4 in any content area on the ATLAS test were celebrated with a popcorn party! Congratulations to these outstanding scholars! 🍿🎉

There is no power at Boone Park Elementary; therefore, we are on a 2-hour delay. Please spread the word. Additional information is forthcoming.

REMINDERS:

If your student has medication at school, letters were sent home last week about picking up those medications before the last day of school. Please contact Nurse Gray if you have any follow up questions. As a reminder, all medications not picked up by 1:00p.m. on the last day of school will be destroyed per NLRSD policy.

If your student received a letter about immunizations they will need for next school year, please make the appointment now. All students must be current on immunizations to start school in August.

IMMUNIZATION INFORMATION
All students who will be 11 by September 1st are required to have a Tdap immunization.

All Pre-K students who will turn 4 this summer are required to receive their 4 year old immunizations.

If your child is on a catch up schedule for immunizations because they were behind, they will need to receive their next set of immunizations this summer.

If your child has an immunization exemption, they will need a new one for the upcoming school year.

It can be difficult to get an appointment, if you wait until just before school starts. Please make the appointment now for this summer.

All students will be required to be up to date on all immunizations to start school in August.

Parents and Families: As a reminder, in order to volunteer for Field Day on Friday, you MUST be approved in our volunteer system before helping in any capacity.

Please complete the volunteer form as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If your child has medication at school, please stop by the Nurse’s Office before the last day to pick this medication up. Oral medication, insulin and emergency seizure medication cannot be sent home with your child or sent to after care or daycare. These medications must be picked up by an adult from the nurse. ALL oral medication, insulin and emergency seizure medication not picked up by 1:00 pm on the last day of school will be destroyed or discarded per district procedures.

If your child has an inhaler, Epi Pen or topical medication, then these items will be sent home on the last day of school. If your child will not be at school on the last day, please let Nurse Gray know what day you would like these items sent home or stop by the Nurse’s Office and pick them up.

Please remember we will need new actions plans, physician orders, supplies and medications for your child at the beginning of school in August. As a reminder the cafeteria requires verification of all food allergies from a doctor, in order to provide substitutions.

For teacher appreciation week the NLRSD is giving you the opportunity to write a card to your favorite teacher and we will send it to them digitally. Pick from six different designs and write a personal message.

Responses will close today at 11:59PM. Digital thank you cards will be sent out during Teacher Appreciation Week, which is May 4-8.
