First NLR is the recipient of this month's Great Rising Mentoring Award. The church is so supportive of our district, supporting our students and staff with various needs. They have even opened their facilities for us to use for meetings.
We truly thank you, First NLR!

LaChella Washington is this month's recipient of the Parent North S.T.A.R award. She goes out of her way to support Pre-K teachers at Meadow Park Elementary and to provide gifts to the students in the school's Pre-K program.

Boone Park principal Steve Orobona recommended John Grogan and Anthony Beach (not pictured) to receive the Superintendent's Honor Roll. The two went above and beyond to install new 100% attendance flags and, without prompting, painted areas purple to match the school colors.

Congratulations to Mitchell Lowery, Brandon Orobona, and Ryan Ponder on earning All State Band honors! Mitchell earned positions in All State Jazz Band and All State Concert Band. These three are in the top 15% of all musicians on their instrument statewide.

Congratulations to Jake Hale on winning the boys' 100 yard breaststroke at the Class 6A state swim meet. Hale will continue to swim at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he has accepted a scholarship.

Congratulations to Deylin Pippins and Ka'liyia Chism on winning first place at the state wrestling tournament! Pippins won the 175 lb. weight class, and Chism won the 115 lb. weight class.

Jake Hale, a senior at NLRHS, led us in the Pledge of Allegiance at tonight's Regular Board Meeting.

Justin Gilmore, a senior at NLRHS, offered the invocation at tonight's Regular Board Meeting.

Although power has been restored to Amboy Elementary School, due to today’s predicted severe weather, our teams are not able to conduct a thorough assessment of the building. Therefore, Amboy Elementary School will remain closed until further notice for in-person learning. No school means no virtual assignments or remote learning.

The threat of severe weather has been extended to 4:00 p.m. in our community making school operations potentially unsafe. Due to the extended forecast and out of an abundance of caution for all our employees, all Central Office and school sites will be closed today. There will be no on-site instruction, after-school activities, or athletic practices and events, as all Central Office and school sites will be closed. No transportation or food services will be provided.
Remote learning for students is in effect as previously communicated.
