REVISED Special Message to ALL NLRSD Parents and Guardians: Beginning tomorrow, Friday, October 23, through December 18, students will have the option of attending campus or virtually EVERY FRIDAY. Face-to-face students will enter the building at normal times. These students will report to the designated area during the day to work on their Virtual Friday Assignments. Both face-to-face students who choose not to attend and face-to-face students who do attend will enter their first Google class period which will meet between 8:10 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to assist by completing the attendance form and completing homework. Students who do NOT have internet access received a pink piece of paper today that they must complete and return by 8:30 am on Monday for their attendance to be counted as present. Virtual students will remain virtual during this day and attendance will be taken from 8:10 to 12:00. Students will enter their virtual classroom and will be verified by the teacher. Students will receive virtual assignments to complete during the day. These assignments are due at 8:30 am the following Monday morning. Transportation Buses will run normal hours. In addition, the start and end times of the classes will remain the same. Students still have to go through all Google classrooms to see teacher assignments. No new material will be covered.

Good evening parents and guardians please check with your child(ren) regarding their reports card. All students attending onsite received their report cards on Tuesday, October 20th. Virtual students can view their report cards by logging into their HAC account and clicking on the report card tab. Also remember Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 27th and Thursday, October 29th. All students will be virtual on those two days.

October 26th - Picture Day for Virtual Students and make -up day for face to face students.
El día de la fotografía virtual es el lunes 26 de octubre. NLRMS anima a todos los estudiantes virtuales a que se tomen fotografías del otoño / anuario. Los estudiantes virtuales deberán ir directamente al vestíbulo del gran auditorio entre las 9:00 am y las 2:00 pm. Los estudiantes virtuales serán evaluados antes de ingresar al edificio y deben usar una máscara en todo momento a menos que estén siendo fotografiados. No se proporcionará transporte.

Virtual Picture Day is Monday, October 26th. NLRMS encourages all virtual students to have their fall/yearbook pictures taken. Virtual students will need to come directly to the lobby of the large auditorium between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Virtual students will be screened before entering the building and must wear a mask at all times unless they are being photographed. Transportation will not be provided.
Make up pictures will also be conducted on Monday, October 26th. Students will be called out by last name and grade during the day over the intercom.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. The North Little Rock School District is recognizing this month with a series of initiatives to make our students and families aware of dyslexia and the services that we provide.

We have been approved to have Virtual Learning Fridays! This will begin on 10/23.
In summary, attending school on Fridays is optional. Students enrolled in face-to-face instruction will have the option of completing assignments either in person or at home. Virtual students will complete assignments as normal. These assignments will be completed asynchronously, which means there will be no live instruction. No new material will be introduced. Attendance will still be taken.
