Good evening parents and guardians, this message is to let you know that Interim reports were handed out today for our on campus students. Interims for both face to face and virtual students have been uploaded into the NLRSD Home Access Center (HAC) for all of our students, parents and guardians to view by logging into your HAC account and clicking the grades tab at the top.

As part of a coordinated response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), in partnership with the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas, has developed a Parent/Guardian survey for soliciting family input on what is working now and what may be considered for the future.

Seventh Grade Track tryouts will be held at NLRMS on 12/4, beginning at 2:00 pm. Eighth Grade Track tryouts will be held at NLRMS on 12/11, beginning at 2:00 pm.
Anyone interested must have a current sports physical on file in the Athletic Director's Office.


Parents and Guardians- NLRMS 7/8 Campus will be using Edgenuity during 1st period Advisory time and during virtual Friday's. Students will log on by going in through their Clever account and using their NLRSD Google username and password and logon to their assignments. Edgenuity is designed to help students with any deficiencies they may have in Math and Reading based on their NWEA scores. We would love your help and support in working with our students.

Parents and Guardians of Virtual Students attending NLRMS 7/8 campus. Please remember to complete this mandatory survey if you have not done so as it is where you will indicate whether your child is to remain virtual or return to campus in January. The survey must be completed by November 8th in order for you child to attend face to face in January. This survey is also required even if you intend to remain virtual for planning purposes. October 29th Virtual Attendance has been sent out to all students. Please make sure your child fills out the online Google form or completes the paper copy of the form (if they are face to face students without internet)to turn in on Monday, November 2nd. Students must submit their online attendance before 12:30 pm.

Interim Superintendent Keith McGee, Ed.D., along with district and building-level administrators, are popping up on staff members caught in the act of going above and beyond to ensure our students are successful.
Today's visits included surprising Dina Dallas, Lead Cafeteria Professional at North Little Rock Middle School; the MCL Team at North Little Rock Middle School - Sixth Grade Campus; and Stacy Smith, Curriculum Interventionist at Seventh Street Elementary. They each received a certificate and a monetary gift.

October is National Principals Month! We salute you, Mr. Cain, the principal at North Little Rock Middle School - Seventh & Eighth Grade Campus.

Reminder that tomorrow October 27th and October 29th students will not be on campus due to parent teacher conferences. Parent teacher conferences will be held virtually and will start at 4:00 pm and will end at 7:00pm both nights. Please make sure to contact your child's teacher to set up a conference time.

Parents and Students,
Attendance will be take on Tuesday, October 27th, Thursday, October 29th, and Friday October 30th. All students on campus will receive a color coded attendance slip for each virtual day that must be filled out by the student, signed by the parent and returned back to their 1st period teacher if they do not use the online attendance form. Please be looking for these slips over the next few days. There will not be any Google meets during the virtual days.

VIRTUAL STUDENTS ONLY! Your picture day is Monday, October 26th. We would love to give you the opportunity to have your school picture taken as well. Plus, we need your picture for the yearbook. On October 26th, please come to the lobby of the school auditorium between 9 am to 2 pm. Social distancing protocols will be enforced.

October 27 and October 29 will be observed as Remote Learning and Parent Teacher Conference days. Students will NOT report to school. Instead, they must log on for live instruction. Parent-Teacher Conference will be virtual and will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. Contact your child's school to schedule a meeting with their teacher.
