The Board of Education recognized the 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team, who finished their season undefeated.
JaQuan Moore, one of the members of the team, said: “Do not jump to conclusions. This was not just an easy season. Our toughest matchup was definitely against Sylvan Hills. We had already scouted a few of their players and came game-ready to stop those big-time players.”
Dreshun Franklin, another player on that winning team, said: "The pre-season practices were grueling and exciting and built a strong foundation for us. This season taught me lessons about team work and personal growth. It was unforgettable."

Herbert McCall, one of the players, said the following:
“We had great team chemistry. I enjoyed the bus rides, practices, and all the games. All of the coaches had us mentally prepared during practices and made sure we were locked in. They made sure we understood how to represent North Little Rock across our chests."
