Good evening parents, guardians, and students. This message is to remind all of our virtual students  the following virtual expectations: 1. All students have 7 virtual classes and must attend all  7of their virtual classes daily. NO student has fewer than 7 classes 2. Students must log in to each class using their first and last names. Teachers will not accept students that use nicknames to try an enter. 3. Students must have their computer camera turned on at all times so the student's face can be seen for the entire class period. Failure to turn on your camera will result in the student being marked absent for that class period.

Picture Day is Friday, October 2nd for FACE TO FACE STUDENTS Students will be taking pictures through their Social Studies class. Picture forms will be sent home this week. Please see attached photos for online ordering, packages, and pricing. VIRTUAL STUDENTS ONLY! Your picture day is Monday, October 26th. We would love to give you the opportunity to have your school picture taken as well. Plus, we need your picture for the yearbook. On October 26th, please come to the lobby of the school auditorium between 9 am to 2 pm. Social distancing protocols will be enforced.

Good evening NLRMS 7/8 parents and guardians. We are off to a great start for the 2020-2021 school year. The attendance office wants to remind parents that all doctor's notes or parent notes must be turned into the front office or emailed to prospert@nlrsd.org within 5 days of the absences in order for it to be marked excused. You can check your child's daily attendance by logging into the Homes Access Center. Please call the front office if you have any questions or need your HAC information. (501-771-8200)

The North Little Rock School District will once again host flu clinics at each of its schools. See the schedule below. Virtual students can take vaccine at their assigned school at the times listed.

NWEA Testing is on the following dates for both face to face and virtual students. Science: September 14th - 15th Math: September 17th - 18th Reading September 22nd - 23rd.

Students- Because of bandwidth issues on the 7/8 campus, we are not able to have Google Meets during NWEA testing. Please read this carefully: The only Google Meet you need to attend on 9/15 and 9/16 is your science class, so you can test. You will still have assignments posted in your other classes that you will be responsible for completing and you can contact your teachers via email to ask questions. The only Google Meet that you will attend on 9/17 and 9/18 is your math class to take the NWEA-same thing applies on those days, you will still have assignments posted in your other classes that you will be responsible for completing and you can contact your teachers via email to ask questions. Virtual Students: It is time to hold Student Council Elections. For students interested in running for an officer’s position or for class representative, starting Monday, September 21 through Thursday, September 24 students can email Mrs. McMahan at mcmahane@nlrsd.org and provide her with their first and last name and the position they would like to run for. Once sign ups are completed, she will set up a Google Classroom for each candidate to join. This is where the procedures and expectations for running and for each position will be listed and explained. The positions available are the following: 8th grade: President Vice President Secretary Historian Class Representative 7th grade: Class Representative

Please take a look at our safety procedures as it relates to attending our sporting events this fall. We have implemented changes to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and fans. If you're interested in attending football games, tickets will be sold on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the ticket booth on the home side. We will have limited seating, so you make the decision as soon as possible if you plan on attending. Tickets for volleyball games will be sold at the door starting one hour before the first game. Remember, there will be no school Monday. Monday is Labor Day. In addition, there will be no meal curbside pickup on Monday for students enrolled in Virtual Academy. That service will resume Tuesday from 11a to 1p. Have a safe holiday weekend!

Hurricane Laura is expected to bring inclement weather to Arkansas. As a result, the North Little Rock School District will end classes early on Thursday. Elementary: 1:00 p.m. Middle: 1:50 p.m. High: 2:30 p.m. All after school events scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed. Central Office will close at 3:00 p.m. We will communicate on tomorrow about our plans to hold classes on Friday. As it relates to early dismissal tomorrow, students enrolled in the Virtual Academy will adhere to the class times given by their teachers. Thank you for being a part of our district!
