To celebrate books and help grow a love for them, we invite our students to dress up as storybook characters from a book of their choice. Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character. Students dressed as Storybook Characters will walk in our outdoor parade. Students may choose any character from a book they enjoy following the guidelines in this letter. To support students’ feelings of safety and security in our building, violent or frightening costumes are unacceptable. No weapons or dangerous-looking items will be permitted to accompany a costume. Here are some examples of acceptable costume choices and some examples of unacceptable choices. This should be simple, fun, and educational!
