IHE Cell Phone Policy Reminder
What is the cell phone policy for IHE students?
Students are not permitted to possess a cell phone for any reason during the school day. If students bring a phone for after-school activities, they must immediately turn it into their classroom teacher or store it in their backpack. They may retrieve their phone at the end of each day. Any student caught violating this policy will have their cell phone confiscated.
First Violation: The cell phone will be confiscated and given back only when the parent comes by to pick it up.
Multiple Violations: Forfeiture of the cell phone until the end of the last day of the quarter.
Phone Use by Students
Students are permitted to use the phone in the main office in an emergency (student is sick or hurt) or given permission in writing by a teacher. All arrangements for after-school activities should be made before coming to school in the morning.
If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or a building administrator.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Happy New Year!
We have a few new parents dropping off students in the morning. Here are a few reminders for Drop Off and Pick Up.
Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders for the Parents & Guardians of IHE Car Rider Students
As all of our veteran Indian Hills Parents know, drop off and pick–up can be overwhelming. First and foremost, we care about the safety of every child, parent, and staff member! Please follow these helpful tips:
* Please enter/exit from the intersection of Osage Drive and Wigwam.
* During drop off and pick up, no electronics (radio, cell, texting)
* Be courteous, careful, cooperative, and patient!
*Watch out for kids and other vehicles; PLEASE do not pull around other vehicles. WE WILL HAVE 1 LANE OF CARS FOR DROP OFF ONLY (and please watch your language – there are young children present).
* This is a drop-off/pick-up zone ONLY. Students should be COMPLETELY ready to exit the car before entering the drop zone.
* Students should exit vehicles IMMEDIATELY once vehicles come to a complete stop.
*Please use the crosswalk from the church parking lot across Wigwam.
*Exiting our parking lot is a right turn only!
Dismissal Procedure
*Car riders will exit out of the front of the building and wait under the covered awnings. WE WILL HAVE 2 LANES OF CARS FOR PICK UP ONLY.
*Please leave a center lane on Wigwam to allow traffic to continue to flow through.

Please read the letter from Superintendent Pilewski that addresses our COVID-19 numbers and our current instructional models at the following link: https://5il.co/oa5i
