North Little Rock High School and the Center of Excellence are on lockdown. A male student was shot off campus and sustained non life-threatening injuries. All students and staff are safe. There is no active threat. We are working with the North Little Rock Police Department and will provide further information as it becomes available.
We will let you know when the lockdown is lifted. In the meantime, there will be no one allowed in the building and no one allowed to leave the building until the lockdown is lifted.
The safety of our students and staff remains our number one priority.

The NLR Chess Team participated in a scrimmage match hosted by Little Rock Central High School last week. Six students competed against Little Rock Central High and White Hall High.

Congratulations to Torrence "Boosie" Moore on being named "Player of the Week" by Pulaski County Farm Bureau.
Moore, a junior, had 12 rushes for 119 yards and 2 TDs. He had one reception for 7 yards and a TD. The Charging Wildcats thrashed the LR Southwest Gryphons, 62-14.
It's Homecoming Week. The Charging Wildcats will host the Catholic Rockets.

It was an honor to recognize these seniors on Friday night, who are some of the top students in the Class of 2022. We know they will do exceptionally well in life! We thank their parents for allowing them to be a part of the North Little Rock Center of Excellence!
High School Girls Track tryouts will be on 10/23 at 9:00 a.m. at Charging Wildcat Stadium. Any girl interested in trying out for the team must have a current physical and a consent form on file in the Athletic Office. Contact Coach Hull at hulla@nlrsd.org for questions.

The senior had two QB hurries, a tackle, an assist, a sack, a pass break up, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown! The Charging Wildcats thumped the Little Rock Central Tigers, 35-6.
The Charging Wildcats will be home Friday and will battle the Conway Wampus Cats.
