Congratulations to Tyler Green, Tan Dao, and Sawyer Bivens, along with their teacher, Ayana Johnson, for being one of 17 teams advancing to the All-State Coding Competition! Student teams that place on the state level will win a cash reward that will deposited into a 529 College Savings Plan.

Congratulations to Ms. Melisha Griffin on being named a state finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching! Her application has been forwarded to the national level for review by the National Science Foundation. Griffin teaches engineering at the Center of Excellence.

Mrs. Karla Whisnant, Center of Excellence Principal, and Sgt. Chauncey Sims, our supervisor of School Resource Officers, were recognized for their life-saving actions to complete CPR when an employee at NLRHS became incapacitated. That employee is doing well.

Congratulations to the Quiz Team on finishing 4th place in the 7A Regional Tournament this weekend! Freshman Carter Lee made the All-Tournament Team because he averaged 10 correct answers every game.

The NLRHS Special Olympics Basketball team showed amazing sportsmanship and talent, and therefore, they were invited to the state playoffs in Russellville. We are so proud of how hard these young men have worked and how they have come together as a team!
