How exciting school can be when the project you have been working on actually works.?! 1st grade students from Amboy Elementary have been exploring the concept of buoyancy with the engineering design challenge of building a boat from clay that can float and hold paper clips.  It worked!!!  #AmboySTEM

Kindergarten students at Amboy Elementary in Mrs. Dellinger's class created spooky castles.  Students learned about 2 and 3D shapes, working as a group, and writing about their projects.  Students presented their creations and findings to their family members.  One creation had an elevator and garage.  What a fun learning project!

Recently, the North Little Rock Board of Education selected Hannah Chambers to fill the vacated Zone 5 member's position. As part of this process, the Board sought legal advice from the Arkansas School Board Association, in accordance with previous circumstances similar to this situation. After seeking further clarification, the Arkansas School Board Association determined their previous stance was incorrect and advised the North Little Rock Board of Education to rescind their selection of Hannah Chambers. Immediately upon notification from legal counsel, the North Little Rock Board of Education called a meeting and rescinded their selection and will begin the Zone 5 selection process as outlined in the Arkansas Educational Statute 6-13-611 section (c). The North Little Rock Board of Education received an apology from the Arkansas State Board Association for giving inaccurate information in regards to the appointment and zone residence.
