A great evening last night as we celebrated PTA Council Founder’s Day. We recognized teachers, support staff, and parents for their hard work and dedication to our students and district. We are so fortunate to have a winning team!



NLR Academy leaders were recognized at tonight’s board meeting. The school was saluted at the Arkansas State Capitol for a 100% pass rate on the civics exam and a 4 point average improvement score on the ACT.


Amboy, Crestwood, Meadow Park, NLR Center of Excellence, and NLRMS were recognized by the U of A’s College of Education and Health Professions for significant growth on the ACT Aspire last school year. The leaders of those schools were recognized at tonight’s board meeting.


Eight of our schools received funds through our Trademark Grant Program. School staff apply to purchase supplies to enhance student learning. The recipient schools are Boone Park, Crestwood, Glenview, Indian Hills, Lakewood, Meadow Park, NLRHS, and NLRMS. Thanks to our vendors!

Students at North Little Rock Middle School participated in a door decorating contest as a way to learn about the contributions of Black Americans during Black History Month.

The NLRHS JROTC Charging Wildcat Battalion held a “Celebrating Cultural Diversity” assembly, in which they recognized African Americans who have made great strides in the military. Thanks to the program participants who spoke to our future leaders!




North Little Rock Academy hosted an ACT Boot Camp last Saturday morning. Students were engaged and were very appreciative of the opportunity for the additional support. For students to commit to their future on a Saturday morning is quite impressive! We wish them all the best!
