How Does the Traffic Line Work? (Student Pick-Up & Drop-Off)
As many of our veteran Indian Hills parents know, drop-off and pick-up can sometimes feel overwhelming. We continue to work closely with the city, district, police, parents, and community partners to ensure a process that is both safe and efficient. The safety of every child, parent, and staff member remains our top priority. Please review the expectations below:
🚦 Traffic Flow & Safety Expectations
• Enter and exit through Osage Drive and Wigwam only.
• Right turns only when entering or exiting the school drive during drop-off and pick-up.
• Do not turn onto Wigwam from Indian Hills Blvd.
• Avoid using electronics (radio adjustments, cell phones, texting) while in the car line.
• Do not drive between the two car line lanes at any time.
🌅 Morning Drop-Off
• All students, in every grade, must enter through the cafeteria doors.
• Doors open at 7:15 AM.
• No drop-offs are allowed in the back parking lot.
🛡️ Parent Volunteers Needed
To help keep our scholars safe during busy traffic times, we are seeking parent volunteers to assist with morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
If you are willing to help, please contact our assistant principal, Mr. Joseph Brown, at brownjo@nlrsd.org.
Your support makes a tremendous difference!
🔁 Final Reminder
When exiting the school parking lot during both drop-off and dismissal, it is right turn only.
