Parents of Kindergarten Students:
Tomorrow is the big day! Here are some things you should know for the first day of school ...
Please park across the street and walk your child to the gym doors. If you are facing the school, you will be going to the last set of doors to your left.
Kindergarten teachers will be outside to greet you and get your child to the right place from 7:20 until the bell rings at 7:50. Please make every effort to arrive by 7:45.
NLRSD has mandated masks for everyone so please make sure that your child is wearing theirs. Before entering the building their temperature will be taken. Students who need to eat breakfast will be escorted to the cafeteria by an adult. The rest of them will wait in a supervised area until time for class to begin.
You will be asked to fill out a form which gives us information about your child and how they will get home. If you've already filled it out, please bring it with you.
We ask that you do NOT bring any supplies the first day. We have everything your child needs. We will send a letter home on Wednesday with your child's placement for the year. They will begin with their teacher on Thursday and may bring supplies then.
Kindergarten students will be able to enter through the gym doors the first week of school. After that, they will enter through the cafeteria doors with everyone else.
It is going to be a little overwhelming in the morning. Please be patient and know that we are doing our best to take care of your babies. Their teachers can't wait to meet them! ❤
