NLRHS and the Center of Excellence will host a Showcase and Transition Fair on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for current and potential families to come and learn about all of the exciting programs available to students who attend the schools. In addition, families will get a chance to learn about the Special Services Department and how they assist students with 504 plans and IEPs.

• The Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball Teams will have a matchup at home on Friday against Jonesboro. Due to the possibility of inclement weather on Friday, the Varsity Girls will play at 5:00 p.m. (instead of 6:00 p.m.) and Varsity Boys will play immediately afterward. There will be no JV game.
• The rescheduled matchup between Lady Cats and Southwest Lady Gryphons will be January 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Southwest High.

North Little Rock High School has earned the "Beating the Odds" award! This award, presented by the University of Arkansas Office of Education Policy, goes to schools that serve a population where 66% of students face economic challenges and where the students are demonstrating the highest levels of academic growth.
NLRHS ranks number two of high-poverty high schools in the Central region based on Math ACT Aspire Growth.

Tonight, we recognized Baptist Health for being a named partner through NLRHS' Health and Human Services Academy and the COE's Health and Human Services Academy. They have committed resources, time, and staff to this partnership so that the students of the NLRSD will be future ready and prepared for careers in the healthcare industry.

Please join us in celebrating Jonah Pulliam, a junior at NLRHS, on earning a PERFECT SCORE -- a 1520 -- on the PSAT! Scores from the PSAT are used to determine eligibility and qualification for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

We thank you for your patience as we navigate the process. Our staff is responding to calls and voicemails as quickly as possible. Please feel free to email the Child Nutrition Office at fservices@nlrsd.org with the following information:

--Mailing address
--Parent/Guardian's first and last name
--Telephone number
In order to receive the P-EBT card, the student had to be enrolled in the NLRSD on May 31, 2023. Please disregard this message if you already received the card.

If your student did not receive the P-EBT Summer 2023 card and they were enrolled in the NLRSD on May 31, 2023, families can call our Child Nutrition Office at (501) 771-8060 by Friday, November 17, 2023.
Remember, all of our students are eligible to receive P-EBT card because the NLRSD participates in the Community Eligibility Provision. This means that all enrolled students in our district are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge to your household.

Congratulations to J'Lynn Allen for being named Pulaski County Farm Bureau Player of the Week! This is the second time this season that Allen has earned this honor.
In last week's matchup, Allen had 11 tackles, two tackles for a loss, two sacks, and two QB pressures. He had a total of 15 hits.

Mackey, a senior left tackle, graded out at 80% with 3 knockdown blocks in last week's game.

Congratulations to Skylar Easter and Tyson Bradden, as both are named Pulaski County Farm Bureau Players of the Week.
Easter racked up the following stats: 1 tackle, 1 tackle for loss, 5 assisted tackles, 3 pass breakups, and 1 interception for a touchdown.
Tyson achieved the following: An 87% pass completion rate for 322 yards, 5 passing touchdowns, and one rush for 23 yards!
The Charging Wildcats defeated the Northside Grizzlies, 47-21.
