NLRHS freshman Azari Thrower has embraced her Chinese class, delighting in learning not just the language but also the fascinating culture.

Fletcher Peebles, a sophomore at NLRHS, has a love for other languages, and he took Spanish last year. He believes learning a different language makes him more marketable for college and potential careers.

Congratulations to NLRHS sophomore Paxton Bowsman! He will serve as an Ambassador Team Leader at the EAST Conference, which will take place in Hot Springs this spring. This multi-day event is an opportunity for students to showcase projects that make a difference in their communities, to network with peers and industry professionals, and to experience a professional conference unlike any other.

North Little Rock High School freshman Arianna Gonzalez-Torres is taking German to fulfill her dream of visiting Germany and communicating directly with native speakers.

Congratulations to our students in the Baldwin & Shell Construction Academy of Business, Hospitality & Development at North Little Rock High School on earning their OSHA certification!

This proves they are not only trained in critical workplace safety and health standards, but it also significantly boosts their career readiness, making them immediately valuable to future employers.

Our 4x State Champions, North Little Rock High School Varsity Cheer, will be hosting a kids clinic for students aspiring to be a cheerleader!

The clinic will be held on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m. in the NLRHS Aux Gym. The routine taught during this time will be performed at September 19's football game halftime show.

Attention all high school and COE students!

If your student has medication at school, please pick it by Friday, May 30, which is the last day of school. All medication that is not picked up by Friday will be destroyed or discarded, per district guidelines. If your student will be attending summer school, please speak with your child's building nurse to make arrangements.

Happy Graduation Day! We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2025 and all of their accomplishments! The doors at the Jack Stephens Center, the site of graduation, will open at 5:00 p.m. Please have your tickets ready to present at the entrance.

This weekend the NLRHS forensics team competed at the Arkansas State Speech and Debate Tournament. Here are the highlights: Danielle Arum: Finalist in Storytelling Annabel Cluck : Second place in Solo Acting and Third place in Solo Musical Brianna Wood: Third Place in Song Lyric Interpretation and Semi-Finalist in Poetry Congratulations!

As you know, the North Little Rock School District closed schools and district offices early on Wednesday, April 2 because of inclement weather.  To avoid extending the school year, the district will add five minutes to the end of the school day beginning Monday, April 14. Please note the updated school hours. At this time, the last day of school is scheduled for Friday, May 30. However, please keep in mind that inclement weather is unpredictable. If additional schedule changes become necessary, the school year may extend beyond this date. Thank you for your understanding!

While we have experienced inclement weather over the past several days, there has been little to no impact on our schools and Central Office sites. Therefore, all campuses and district sites will be open tomorrow at normal times. We understand that travel conditions may still be challenging for some, and we encourage everyone to prioritize safety in their commutes.
