Around noon, a fire alarm sounded at NLRHS. Students and staff immediately evacuated the building. Emergency officials responded and found it to be a false alarm. After receiving the all clear, students and staff re-entered the building. Classes have resumed.

In light of the violent threat made against schools in Arkansas, the North Little Rock School District is taking extra steps to ensure that each campus remains a safe and healthy environment for everyone. We maintain communication with law enforcement, who will have a presence at every campus on Thursday, August 29. The safety of our students and staff is top priority in the North Little Rock School District.


Please be mindful of adjusted start and end times for elementary and high schools, beginning next Tuesday (9/3).
Elementary: 7:50 a.m.-2:40 p.m.
High: 8:25 a.m.-3:40 p.m.
Middle school times will remain the same: 8:00 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

After assessing transportation issues during the first week of school, the district has adjusted school start and end times. The new times will take effect on 9/3.
