The 2019 North Little Rock football team and coaches were recognized at tonight's school board meeting. This team made it to the state championship game. In fact, they have made four consecutive state championship game appearances, winning the game in 2017.

Emily Taylor and her Leadership & Service Learning students at NLRHS received the Superintendent's Honor Roll honor. Taylor and her students re-established a school-wide food drive. All donations were sent to the Levy Food Pantry.

National Honor Society decided to spread some holiday cheer to the residents of Lakewood Health and Rehab by donating and delivering care packages for their service project this semester.


Congratulations to NLR Head Football Coach Jamie Mitchell and Running Back Brandon Thomas! Coach Mitchell was named 7A Finalist for Coach of the Year, and Thomas was named 7A Offensive Player of the Year at the Arkansas Farm Bureau Awards ceremony.

NLR cheer wins first place at Lake Hamilton cheer competition last Saturday, beating Bryant and HarBer cheer in the 6A all girl division. The team also took home the crowd pumping cheer and best use of stunts.
NLR will be competing for a state title on Saturday, December 21 at the Hot Springs convention center at 4:30 pm. They would love for NLR fans to come support them!


The Forensics and Debate Team travel to Rogers this past weekend to compete in a tournament and here are the highlights:
Advancing to the finals in Storytelling - Mackie Davis, Milena Duarte, and Gabby Stokes and Macy Knapp placed third in Storytelling.
Advancing to the finals in Humorous Interpretation - Olivia Bird and Trey Jenkins placed 1st in Humorous Interpretation.
Advancing to the finals in Informative Speaking - Megan Drause
Advancing to the finals in Duo Interpretation - Katherine Self & Kenzie Tatum and Sierra Owens and Spencer Long placed 1st in Duo Interpretation.

Sophomore Bethany Sessions made school history Saturday by becoming the first girl wrestler to place in the top two. She finished second in the girls division! #gocats

With family and friends among them, NLRHS seniors Luke Rice and Bear Sparks signed scholarships to play baseball at UA-Rich Mountain following graduation. These two helped their team earn a state championship during the 2019 season.
