Seeking NLR Host Families!
The North Little Rock High School Theatre Arts Department will present “Holiday Highlights,” a holiday dance concert, on December 6th at 6:30 PM in the North Little Rock High School Performing Arts Center. The concert features performances by the NLRHS Dance Troupe and Theatre Dance I-IV classes. This will be the 42nd dance concert for the NLRHS Dance Program. The dance concert will include choreography by Christen Pitts (Director/Choreographer of the NLRHS Dance Program), Angel Hairston (NLRHS Alumni, Owner of Argenta Nutrition), Rico Sergent (Hip Hop artist and teacher at Shuffles and Ballet II/Dance Dynamics), Hannah Hagerman (NLRHS Alumni and member of the Untapped Professional Tap Company- Arkansas’ only professional tap company), Allison Stodola Wilson (Artistic Director of Shuffles and Ballet II), Jennifer Maddox (Director of Dance at Henderson State University), DeAnna Stanton (company member of Ballet Arkansas) and the NLRHS Theatre Dance IV students.

- The NLRHS Dance Troupe is an extra-curricular dance company in which
Speech, Drama, and Dance students are selected through an audition process. These dancers participate in dance workshops throughout the year and perform in two dance concerts.
- Theatre Dance I-IV classes are classes offered to NLRHS students and they receive a fine arts credit for the course.

Today MedPro students partnered with the City of North Little to host Juvenile Diabetes Awareness Day. Students were given the opportunity to learn unique information pertaining to diabetes, nutrition, and heart disease.
JAG students collected food for those in need this Thanksgiving. The food will be donated to Friendly Chapel Church In North Little Rock.

The CBI class at NLRHS came up with a different way to put their skills to the test. Students started making arts and crafts. As a result, the class is having an Arts and Crafts sale on Tue, Nov 13 at the Fine Arts Auditorium Lobby at NLRHS from 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
The NLR Health Department will be at NLRHS on November 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Please be sure to pick up a flu packet from the front office, guidance office or any Nurse's office. Be sure to fill out all the information.

Today COE student's enjoyed a field trip to the planetarium at the University of Central Arkansas. The planetarium is part of the outreach component of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, it supports astronomy teaching on campus.
Yesterday the COE and NLRHS students participated in Fall Fest 2018. Activities included a dunking booth, face painting, costume contest, teacher vs. student kickball game and much more. Here are a few images from yesterdays festivities.
The last day to purchase Fall Fest admissions is this FRIDAY on October 26th. Admission is $3 and tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria before school, after school, and during lunch. Don't forget to wear your best costume the day of the Fall Fest for a chance to win a prize!
A select group of COE students will be attending the Thunder over the Rock STEM Festival this Friday, Oct 26. The STEM Fest is designed to excite students towards a careers in the STEM fields by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in various STEM-related activities.
