Closure Dates
The North Little Rock Academy will be closed from Monday, December 23, 2024, through Monday, January 6, 2025 for the winter holiday break.
Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
We wish all of our students, families, and staff a safe and joyful holiday season!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the colder months settle in, we want to remind everyone of our dress code expectations to ensure a comfortable and productive learning environment:
• Hoodies and hats are not to be worn inside the building.
• Blankets of any size are not permitted at school.
• Ski masks or any masks that cover the head, often referred to as "Pooh Shiesty masks," are not allowed to be brought to school under any circumstances. These items will be immediately confiscated and discarded by administration.
We encourage students to dress warmly in layers and bring appropriate outerwear to stay comfortable during the winter season.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a safe, focused, and welcoming school environment.

1st to 6th Graders: 1:00 PM – 2:15 PM
7th to 12th Graders: 2:45 PM – 4:00 PM
All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the activities.

Do you need help registering your student for the 2024-2025 school year? We can help you!
Once again, we will be having a Registration Fair on July 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. School and district staff will be there to assist. Food will be provided!

If your student has medication at school, please pick it up before or on the last day of school (May 30). The school shall not keep outdated medications or any medications past the end of the school year. If your student will be attending summer school, please speak with your school's building nurse to make arrangements.
ALL medications not picked up by dismissal on the last day of school will be destroyed or discarded, per district procedures.

At tonight's Regular Board Meeting, Christopher Smith, a student at North Little Rock Academy, led the audience in the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance.

ACT for Juniors!
All eleventh graders will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, during the school day. Please join us in encouraging our students to do their best!
This information is being shared on behalf of the North Little Rock Public Education Foundation. The NLRPEF provides financial assistance for many of the programs and initiatives in our school district.
This message is to inform you that the AT&T network is down nationwide. This may impact many of our students, staff, and families who have AT&T service. This outage does not impact our schools or district. Therefore, we will resume normal operations.

All schools and Central Office sites will be open tomorrow, January 23, 2024, and will operate on normal schedules.

UPDATE: Due to the predicted forecast of icy conditions, all schools in the NLRSD will be closed on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Central Office employees will report to their work sites at 11:00 a.m.
Due to the prediction of ice, the NLRSD will implement a two hour delayed start time for 1/22. We will continue to monitor the weather and will provide an update in the morning in the event classes are canceled.
