Good Morning staff, students and parents, As students are out of school due to the state’s efforts to keep students and staff safe the North Little Rock School District and the State of Arkansas determined that schools will be closed until April 17th. The Academy staff is prepared to provide Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) to insure that your child’s education continues. Please help The Academy staff by supervising your child’s academic effort and progress as teachers are available through email, text messages, and/or possibly phone calls between the hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm daily. Students should be working on APEX, Google classroom, IXL, Learning Farm, etc. which will keep students on track to gain credits or work toward moving to the next grade level. Some teachers handed out AMI packets before students left school. The NLRSD is providing breakfast/lunch “grab and go” bags for students who need meals. The following schools are sites for student meals: Boone Park Elementary Seventh Street Elementary Ridgeroad Elementary Glenview Elementary North Little Rock High School All North Little Schools will be closed to students and staff as the custodial staffs are in the process of deep cleaning and sanitizing buildings in the NLRSD to insure that students will be safe upon their return. If you're needing transportation, Rock Region Metro is providing that for free. The bus information is on our District website. Lunch will be grab and go.

Classes will resume on Monday, March 30. All school events and after-care programs have been postponed until further notice. All school buildings will be closed. School will dismiss at regular time today. The district will implement Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) plans while school is out. Lessons for elementary students -- grades Pre-K through 5th Grade -- are available on the website. Secondary students -- students in grades 6 through 12 -- can find their lessons on Google Classroom, Summit Learning Platform, or APEX. For those students without access to a computer, arrangements will be made upon their return. We will continue to update you as more information becomes available. The Pink Tea Cup, Inc is hosting their 2nd Annual Prom Dress GiveAway this Saturday, March 7, 2020. The event will be held at Philander Smith College from 12-3 P.M.. There will be Door Prizes, Fashion Tips, Giveaways, and most importantly Prom Dresses while supplies last.

REMINDER: Students will be out of school on Friday, February 14 and Monday, February 17. Monday is Parent-Teacher Conference. Conferences will be held from noon to 7:00 p.m.

Special Permission and School Choice enrollment begins today! Register your child to attend the North Little Rock School District for the 2020-21 school year! Register in person at 2200 N. Poplar Street in the Annex Building.

Good Evening Parents of North Little Rock Academy, we hope you all have enjoyed Winter Break. All classes will resume tomorrow morning January 7th. We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces.
