Mrs. Jamie Coleman, who currently serves as the Route Supervisor in the Pulaski County Special School District’s Transportation Department, has been tapped as the Administrative Director of Transportation for the North Little Rock School District.

In this role, Mrs. Coleman will be responsible for the overall routing and scheduling of all student transportation needs, managing the budget for transportation services, and ensuring
compliance of ADA, 504, Special Education, and Charter/Field Trip services. In addition, Mrs. Coleman will oversee the observation, direction, and evaluation of all Transportation
Department employees.

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve the students and families in the North Little Rock School District with exceptional hospitality and top-notch service,” said Mrs. Coleman. “I look forward to getting started.”

Mrs. Coleman began her career in student transportation in 1996, joining Laidlaw/First Student.  In 2008, she became employed with the Pulaski County Special School District as a Bus Driver and Dispatcher. She then ascended to the Operational Specialist II position. As the Route Supervisor since 2017, Mrs. Coleman has overseen 90 Bus Drivers and Aides, has ensured compliance with safety and legal standards, and has communicated with school and
administrators and parents concerning transportation-related issues. She has also served as the Interim Director of Transportation on various occasions.

“We welcome Mrs. Coleman to the North Little Rock School District and look forward to her
leadership. Members of our Transportation Department are the first people many of our students see before school starts and some of the last people they see when the school day ends,” said Gregory J. Pilewski, Ed.D., Superintendent of the North Little Rock School District. “This department plays a vital role in how we function as a school district.”
