Mrs. Madison Barker, who just completed the 2021-2022 school year as a Second Grade Teacher at Crestwood Elementary School, has been appointed as Assistant Principal at Boone Park Elementary School.
Mrs. Barker will begin this role on July 20.
Barker, a product of the North Little Rock School District, joined the North Little Rock School District in August 2016 as an Interventionist for students in Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades at Crestwood Elementary School. She began teaching in the 2018-2019 school year. In addition, she has served as the Chairwoman of the Licensed Personnel Policies Committee (LPPC), a group of certified employees that advise district leaders on policies, guidelines, regulations, and procedures relating to a licensed employee’s employment with the district.
“I am excited to get the chance to work with Principal Steve Orobona, the students, staff, and families of Boone Park,” said Mrs. Barker. “I am ready for this opportunity by making sure our students are provided with what they need to be successful,” she said.
Mrs. Barker earned a Master’s Degree in School-Based Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Mississippi State University.
