Audrey Chandler joins the North Little Rock School District as the Coordinator of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and World Languages, bringing over 25 years of educational leadership experience at the classroom, building, district, and state levels. She most recently served as Principal of DeQueen High School. Under her leadership, DeQueen was ranked among the best high schools in the nation, produced an Arkansas Teacher of the Year, and established a successful senior internship program. 

Chandler’s professional background spans the Arkansas Department of Education as well as the Spring Hill, Des Arc, and Searcy school districts. Throughout this diverse career, Chandler has served students receiving special education services, 504 accommodations, gifted and talented programming, English Learner support, and at-risk interventions. At NLRSD, Chandler will focus on strengthening language acquisition programs, supporting multilingual learners, empowering educators, and ensuring equitable opportunities for all students. 

“I believe in the philosophy that it takes a village,” said Chandler. “I have been fortunate to work alongside exceptional teachers, staff, students, families, and community members throughout my career. Their dedication and collaboration have shaped my leadership approach and contributed to the successes we have achieved together.” 

Chandler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, as well as three Master of Education degrees spanning Superintendency, Educational Leadership, and Elementary Education.
