Red Ribbon Week is next week, October 23-27. Join us on Monday by wearing NEON colors as we show how bright our mind is without drugs. Continue to support the fight against drugs all week by dressing up for each day's theme. See the graphic for more information.
Reminder: NO early dismissal tomorrow, October 18, since there will be NO classes on Thursday and Friday. However, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Thursday from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Early dismissal on Wednesdays only occurs when classes are in session a full week.
NLRMS 6 will host parent-teacher conferences on October 19, 2023 from 12-6 pm. Upon arrival, parents will be given a copy of their child’s schedule. Parents will visit their student’s first period advisory teacher FIRST to pick up the student’s report card and other student data. Parents will then be free to visit any of their student’s other teachers at that time. Your child's teachers are available to answer questions and hold conferences through email as well using the teacher’s last name and first initial of first name @nlrsd.org. We look forward to seeing you next Thursday!
The first quarter of 6th grade is already at an end. As we approach the end of the quarter, we plan to take time to celebrate our students' successes. You can help your student experience the most success on this test by making sure they get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, arrive at school on time, and are present everyday.
Extra! Extra! Read all about it! NLRMS 6 students will take the NWEA interim assessment on Sept. 25-28th during 1st period advisory. This test is an important measure that teachers use to plan individualized instruction. Please make sure your student arrives at school on time.

This message is to inform you that power is out at Seventh Street and the Administrative Annex. In addition, internet and phone lines are down across the district. We are working with NLR Electric to restore power. We will provide another update as it becomes available.
