Good evening parents, guardians, and students.
It's required that all students must be checked in to school inside the front office when they are arriving late to school as its stated in the NLRSD Parent-Student Handbook and part of our NLRSD student safety policy.
Students who are being checked out of school must be checked out by the parent/ guardian listed on their student's record.
Your student's timeliness to school plays a vital role in their future success.
Instruction begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:45 pm daily except early release Wednesdays.

Dear Parent (s), guardians, and caregivers,
On January 22nd we will be conducting BMI/Scoliosis screenings on all 8th-grade students.
The procedure for scoliosis screening is simple: The child’s back is observed as he/she stands upright and bends forward. Each child is asked to remove his/her shirt to observe this condition. The screening will be conducted in privacy with only the student and nurse present.
Any curvature or “back hump” that is noticed during the screening may indicate the need for further evaluation. If a problem is found, you will be notified, and we will recommend that you take your child to the physician of your choice for evaluation.
It is a state-mandated screening. If you do not want your student to participate in the scoliosis screening, you must let us know in writing before the screening date.
Phone calls will not be accepted. If your child does not participate, you will have to take them to a physician, have the screening done, and return a record from the doctor with the screening results.
Thank you,
8th Grade Nurse
