If your student has medication at school, please pick it up before or on the last day of school (May 30). The school shall not keep outdated medications or any medications past the end of the school year. If your student will be attending summer school, please speak with your school's building nurse to make arrangements.
ALL medications not picked up by dismissal on the last day of school will be destroyed or discarded, per district procedures.

Congratulations to Brandon Orobona and MItchell Lowery, two students in the NLRHS Charging Wildcat Band, have received All-State honors in band! These two are in the top 10% of all musicians on their instrument in the entire state.

Congratulations to Eva Festervand and Roofie Konshie on receiving the NLRHS/COE PTSA Scholarship! Both seniors will receive $500 that will be used toward their postsecondary endeavors.

Power has been restored at NLRHS/COE building, in addition to the Central Office Administration Building. We will continue with the delayed start time of 10:30 a.m. at those sites.
Remember, students who were scheduled to take the AP Language & Composition exam this morning will now take it on May 23 at 8:00 a.m.

Due to the power outage at NLRHS/COE, the AP English Language and Composition exam scheduled to be taken this morning has been postponed. The new exam date will be May 23, 2024, at 8:00 a.m.

This message is to inform you that there is a power outage in North Little Rock. As a result, there is no power at North Little Rock High School/Center of Excellence and the Central Office Administration Building.
Due to the outage, there will be a two-hour delay. Classes at NLRHS/COE will begin at 10:30 a.m. The Central Office Administration Building will open at 10:30 a.m.
We are working with North Little Rock Electric to restore power. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Please join us in congratulating James Couch Jr. on being named a Gates Scholar! The Gates Scholarship Program pays the cost of attending college that is not already covered by financial aid.
He and COE senior Kassidy Nichols are two of 750 scholars to be selected. More than 53,000 students applied for this prestigious scholarship.

The NLRHS Concert Choir and Introductory Choir participated in the 2024 Arkansas Region 2 Choral Performance Assessment. They both received scores of Excellent for their performances.
Concert Choir also received a score of Excellent for sight reading!

Tonight's baseball games against Jacksonville are cancelled.

The NLRHS/COE Quiz Bowl Team competed in the 7A Regional Quiz Bowl Tournament at LR Central High School on Saturday, March 2 and came in third place. Because of this, they automatically qualified to compete in the 7A State Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, April 13 at University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
COE sophomore Carter Lee averaged 8.4 correct answers per game and qualified for the All Tournament Team.
