The Charging Wildcat JROTC Color Guard and Raider Team took part in the Annual Watson Chapel JROTC Competition in Pine Bluff, AR this weekend September 12, 2026. The Charging Wildcats competed against 6 JROTC programs across Arkansas. The Charging Wildcat JROTC Color Guard and Raider Team took home 4 trophies from the competition!
Female Raider Team won 1st place in the physical fitness competition.
Male Raider Team won 2nd place in the physical fitness competition.
Female Color Guard Team won 2nd place.
Coed Color Guard Team won 2nd place.
The Next JROTC Competition will be at Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High School on October 3, 2026.

The Board of Education saluted the Ninth Grade Boys Basketball Team, who won the Central Arkansas Junior High Conference and the Central Arkansas Junior High Tournament championship!
Although teams change, our Ninth Grade Boys Basketball teams have been synonymous with success, winning the championship in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, and now 2026.
They finished the season with only one loss. That loss gave them the motivation to finish strong.
Noah Fuqua, one of the members on the team, said “our team has been playing together for a while, which means there’s really good chemistry. When we bring that up to varsity, we can really make something happen.”

Today marks a historic milestone for our district as we officially launch our partnership with UA-Pulaski Technical College!
Through the newly established "Scholastic Institute," students in grades 10-12 can now enroll in concurrent courses to earn an Associate of General Studies degree while still in high school. This program provides a massive head start on higher education, potentially saving our families thousands of dollars in future tuition costs.

Congratulations to NLRHS sophomore Paxton Bowsman! He will serve as an Ambassador Team Leader at the EAST Conference, which will take place in Hot Springs this spring. This multi-day event is an opportunity for students to showcase projects that make a difference in their communities, to network with peers and industry professionals, and to experience a professional conference unlike any other.

Our 4x State Champions, North Little Rock High School Varsity Cheer, will be hosting a kids clinic for students aspiring to be a cheerleader!
The clinic will be held on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m. in the NLRHS Aux Gym. The routine taught during this time will be performed at September 19's football game halftime show.

Attention all high school and COE students!
If your student has medication at school, please pick it by Friday, May 30, which is the last day of school. All medication that is not picked up by Friday will be destroyed or discarded, per district guidelines.
If your student will be attending summer school, please speak with your child's building nurse to make arrangements.
