
Today COE student's enjoyed a field trip to the planetarium at the University of Central Arkansas. The planetarium is part of the outreach component of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, it supports astronomy teaching on campus.
Yesterday the COE and NLRHS students participated in Fall Fest 2018. Activities included a dunking booth, face painting, costume contest, teacher vs. student kickball game and much more. Here are a few images from yesterdays festivities.



The last day to purchase Fall Fest admissions is this FRIDAY on October 26th. Admission is $3 and tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria before school, after school, and during lunch. Don't forget to wear your best costume the day of the Fall Fest for a chance to win a prize!

A select group of COE students will be attending the Thunder over the Rock STEM Festival this Friday, Oct 26. The STEM Fest is designed to excite students towards a careers in the STEM fields by giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in various STEM-related activities.

COE Engineering and Computer Science students attended the TSA Leadership conference this past Friday, October 12, 2018 in Plummerville, AR.

Congratulations to Lindsey Hefner, science teacher at the COE. Ms. Hefner (right), receives an award for being the Kiwanis Club's "Teacher of the Quarter". Ms. Hefner received the award for her dedicated accomplishments. Thank you Ms. Hefner for all that you do for our students.

COE students will be attending the STEM Fest will open for a field trip opportunity on Friday, October 26. This event gives students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in various STEM-related activities before it opens to the public.

COE students enjoyed a trip to the Manufacturing Trade Show recently. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to see how they would be able to use their skills in the work force.

Just a reminder that the Fall Leadership Conference is Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Students will learn how they can be leaders in an interactive, exciting, and inspiring way— regardless of age or experience.

Today, Med Pro and the NLR Fire Department teamed up to encourage all COE and NLRHS students to enjoy the Homecoming night responsibly. Students watched some of their classmates reenact a deadly car crash caused by distracted and drunk driving.

The NLR Fire Department is hosting FireFest on Tuesday, October 9, 5 - 8:00 p.m. at McCain Mall.
