We are officially in ATLAS testing season! We’re excited for our students to show all they’ve learned this year in Math, ELA, and Science.

Please take a moment to review the letter Principal Stroud sent home a few weeks ago—it’s pinned at the top of our stories for easy access.

A few important reminders:
• Attendance: Please be sure your child arrives on time each day (before 7:40 AM).
• Breakfast: Available at 7:00 AM for bus riders and 7:15 AM for walkers and car riders.
• Bedtime: Help your child get 8–10 hours of sleep each night so they’re well-rested and ready to do their best.
• Growth: We are encouraging every student to give their best effort! We believe all students will show growth at Boone Park Elementary, and we’ll be celebrating that growth with incentives. Please see flyers for those details.

Attention Parents and Families: Today is the start of the ATLAS summative test! THE BIG TEST that determines our school letter grade. Please refer back to the letter from Mrs. Stroud for more to the test details. The letter is pinned at the top of the story.

Here are a few important announcement:
-Attendance is IMPORTANT-NO TARDIES (please have your student on time @7:40am and at school everyday; no checkouts)
-Encourage your student to do their BEST
-Encourage your student to eat breakfast (breakfast is provided for all students starting at 7:00am for bus riders and 7:15am for car riders and walkers)
-Encourage your students to go to bed on time (students need 8-10 hours of sleep every night)

5th Grade Parents and Guardians: MIDDLE SCHOOL PREVIEW NIGHT IS TONIGHT!! @5:30p,-7:00pm

This is a GREAT opportunity to go check out the middle school campus and ask questions. There will be lots of families there. We want to see our Boone Park families there too!

Important Announcement:
We are currently in our testing season, and it is important that students are present and ready to learn each day.

Please ensure your student is at school on time. The tardy bell rings at 7:40 a.m., and students arriving after that time will be marked tardy. Being on time helps students start the day prepared and confident for testing.

Read Across America Week is almost HERE — March 2nd–6th — and we have a full week of fun planned to celebrate our love of reading! 🌟

Each day has a special dress-up theme, and we’d love for ALL our students to join in. Here’s what’s happening:

✨ Monday: Guest Readers from the NLR Retired Teachers Association
🐾 Tuesday: Get Wild for Reading! Wear animal print or camo
🏃‍♀️ Wednesday: Reading Jogs the Mind! Wear exercise clothes
🤪 Thursday: Crazy Hair, Don’t Care!
🔤 Friday: Words Come to Life! Dress as your favorite vocabulary word

For Friday, please make sure your child wears a necklace or badge with their word on it so everyone can see what vocabulary word they chose!

We can’t wait to see all the creativity, big smiles, and excitement as we celebrate reading all week long. Let’s make this the BEST Read Across America Week yet! 💜📚❤️
