This is National School Breakfast Week! This year's theme, “Score Big with School Breakfast,” reminds us all that school breakfast provides a healthy and energizing start to the day for students. Studies have shown that students who participated in the school breakfast program reached higher levels of achievement in reading and math, along with higher scores on standardized tests.
The NLRSD Child Nutrition Department will celebrate this week by giving away prizes to students eating breakfast in the cafeteria.
Today is Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day! We are thankful for the employees in the NLRSD Maintenance Department for all that they do to keep our schools operating at a high level.

The North Little Rock School District will return to normal operations on Tuesday, February 23. However, due to the lack of heat at Glenview and Meadow Park, these two campuses will continue with 100% virtual instruction for tomorrow.

Due to the inclement weather, all schools and Central Office sites will remain closed over the weekend, which include no athletic events or practices.
District administrators will continue to monitor the impact of the weather on school operations this weekend and will update the community by Sunday, February 21, 2021, on the status of school operations for Monday, February 22, 2021.

This is a friendly reminder parent teacher conferences will begin tomorrow at 4 p.m. through 7 p.m. If you have not scheduled, please get ahold to your student's A day first period teacher to schedule a conference. Dear NLR Academy Parents and Caregivers, Thank you for being a part of the North Little Rock School District. We are so thankful that you have entrusted your child into our care. We do not take this opportunity lightly. This call is to explain this year's Parent-Teacher Conference format. Conferences will take place on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, and Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 4:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both days. By this time, you should have received a call from your student's first period teacher in regards to conferences. In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all conferences will take place virtually, either on Zoom or Google Meet. While the conferences will be different, you can expect the same results. The school calendar indicates that February 9, 2021, and February I l, 2021, are Remote Learning Days, which means that students can take part in instruction from their home. While we encourage the students to engage in classes at home, we understand that some families may elect to send their students to campus in the event there is a lack of internet access or there is a need for specialized services. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher. Again, we thank you for being a part of the North Little Rock School District. We are proud to partner with you to ensure your student succeeds.
