graduation

Update:  June 1, 2020
Our plan is to still have our in-person graduation ceremony, set for Saturday, July 25 at Barton Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. However, our ability to do so still depends on Governor Asa Hutchinson's directives on large gatherings and the possibility of moving into the next phase.

More information will be available at the end of this month.  We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update:  May 15, 2020

The physical graduation ceremony to honor the Class of 2020 has been scheduled for July 25, a Saturday, at Barton Coliseum at 7:00 p.m.

Please be aware of the following guidelines:

1. Attendance will be limited for the July 25 physical graduation, which is set to take place at Barton Coliseum at 7 p.m. More information will be forthcoming as district and school leaders decide how many people seniors can invite.

2. We are exploring other viewing options so that everyone can be a part of the graduation ceremony, even if they will not be able to attend.

3. In addition to limited invitations, there could be other restrictions that are mandated by the Arkansas Department of Health and the Division of Elementary & Secondary Education.

We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more information. Our decisions will be guided by Governor Asa Hutchinson, the Arkansas Department of Health and the Division of Elementary & Secondary Education.

We thank you for your patience.

The 2020 Graduation Committee met to discuss additional plans to hold a physical graduation ceremony to recognize the Class of 2020.

The committee proposed the following dates for a ceremony: July 18, July 25, or August 1. All three dates are on a Saturday. We will confirm a date, time, and location later this month.

In the meantime, high school administrators and staff have been working on preparing for a virtual graduation, which will take place May 11 through May 15. Seniors, be sure to check your emails on a regular basis to get information on the virtual graduation. The images from this ceremony will be made into a video for public viewing.

The North Little Rock School District has decided that the following dates will serve as opportunities to provide additional information to the public: May 15, June 1, and June 30.

It is our sincere hope to celebrate the Class of 2020 with a traditional graduation ceremony. We thank you for your patience during this time as we work tirelessly to honor our seniors while observing the recommendations of health leaders to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our seniors, their families, our staff, and guests.
