Ten students from the North Little Rock School District have earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country, helping them meaningfully connect to colleges and stand out during the admissions process.
Colleges and scholarship programs identify students awarded the National African American/Black Recognition Program, National Latino/Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous/Native Recognition Program, National First Generation Recognition Program, or National Rural or Small Town Recognition Program through College Board’s Student Search Service.

In order to receive this recognition from the College Board, the student must have a GPA of a B+ (equal to at least 3.3 or 87%-89%) or higher at the time they are submitted, must be in the top 10% among PSAT 10 and PSAT/NMSQT test takers in their state, or have received at 3 or higher on at least 2 different Advanced Placement (AP) exams.
Eligible students will be invited to apply during their sophomore or junior year and will be awarded at the beginning of the next school year. Students will receive their awards in time to include them on their college and scholarship applications.
