In a special meeting, the North Little Rock Board of Education approved new start and end times, which will go into effect on September 3.  The time adjustments occurred to ensure buses can get to school on time.

The district's elementary school day will begin at 7:50 a.m. and will end at 2:40 p.m.  There is no change to the middle school schedule, as the day will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.  High school start and end times will be from 8:25 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., respectively.

After assessing transportation issues during the first week of school, district leaders met to adjust times so that bus drivers can get ahead of traffic to get riders to school in enough time.
