Kelly

Mr. Dwight Kelly, who has served as Assistant Principal at Glenview Elementary for four years, has been appointed as Principal.  He succeeds Ms. Tiffany Randall, who is now the Coordinator of Student-Centered Support Services. 

As the Assistant Principal, Mr. Kelly mentored and coached teachers on effective teaching practices and classroom management methods, and he developed and implemented a schoolwide discipline plan to decrease student office visits.  He also conducted frequent home visits with families regarding student behavior and absenteeism.  

Mr. Kelly has been a part of the North Little Rock School District since August 2016.  At North Little Rock Middle School, he taught choir and general music classes.  Mr. Kelly began his career in education at Jacksonville Middle School, where he taught math, science, music, and technology classes.  He was also the department head for fine arts. 

“I am proud to lead the Glenview Chargers to higher heights,” Mr. Kelly said.  “I am ready to build upon the relationships I have already formed with the staff and families of our great school to make sure our students are excelling academically and socially.”

Mr. Kelly is currently pursuing a Curriculum Director certification from Arkansas State University, which he expects to earn in December 2023.  He has received an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and a Master of Science Degree in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University.  He received a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music with a concentration in Recording Technology from the University of Memphis.
