Ridge Road Elementary Family Barnyard Dance
Come Join us on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 5:30 pm in the school gym for a PTA meeting followed by a night of fun.
Come dressed in your western wear. We will learn traditional folk dances. Then you can dance the evening away with your kiddos.

Introducing our new PTA President:
My name is Jamie Prater my son is in 3rd grade here at Ridge Road Elem. I have been married to my husband for 15 years this December. I have lived in Arkansas for almost 30 years now. I moved down here from Chicago with my mom when I was 8 years old. We love to camp and play on the lake. I love to read and I am a big kid at heart. My favorite book series are Hunger Games, Twilight, Percy Jackson, House of Night. Our Favorite movies are Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit just to name a few. I work part time at Hillcrest Camshaft in Little Rock, Ar. I am so beyond happy to PTA president, and will do my best to help make Ridge Road Elem one of the coolest schools in the district.
We are collecting Box Tops for Education this year. We hope everyone will participate in helping us collect them. Be sure to ask your friends and family to help us too. They are on so many different types of products. First Turn in date is October, so turn in what you have next week! Each box top is worth 10¢ for our school!! There are many exciting things we'd love to do with this money to make our school even better.

¡Ayúdenos a celebrar el Día de Caminar o Andar en Bicicleta a le Escuela!
Nos reuniremos a la Iglesia de Cristo Levy sobre el Camp Robinson Road a las 6:45 de la mañana y empezar a caminar o andar en bicicleta a la escuela antes de las 7:00. Tomaremos el camino a Massie Road y luego a Ridge Road. A continuación, camos a cruzar el puente a pie. Los padres pueden ser voluntarios, y caminan con nosotros. October 4th is National Walk or Bike to School Day. Help us celebrate by joining us at 6:45am at the Levy Church of Christ on Camp Robinson Rd. We will start walking no later than 7:oo. We will take the trail to Massie Rd. up to Ridge Rd. and then cross over the walking bridge. Parents are more than welcome to volunteer and walk with us. Please sign up with your classroom teacher if you plan on participating or volunteering.

The student council from RRE was chosen to lead the pledge at the Arkansas Veterans Day Ceremony. The event was attended by Gov Asa Hutchison, US Sen Tom Cotton, & US Sen John Boozeman.
