Sarah Roberson, a dedicated professional with more than two decades of experience in building strong, student-centered partnerships, has joined the North Little Rock School District as the Network Wraparound Services Coordinator. This newly-created position, established through the district’s reorganization plan approved by the North Little Rock Board of Education, is designed to support students and families by addressing non-academic needs, such as mental health services, food and housing insecurity, and other barriers that can hinder academic success.
Roberson comes to the NLRSD from Apptegy, a Little Rock-based education technology company that helps school districts with communication and audience engagement. As the senior education advisor, Roberson has worked with school districts and district leadership teams to stress the importance of maintaining open communication with stakeholders.
Prior to her stint with Apptegy, Roberson spent the bulk of her career in various roles at City Year, the nonprofit organization that staffs public schools with AmeriCorps members, who provide academic support and mentoring to students. Beginning as the startup director and ending as vice president, Roberson’s influence played a role in community engagement, collaborative partnerships, and event management.
As the Network Wraparound Services Coordinator, Roberson will supervise and coach the school-based Network Wraparound Services Specialists. In addition, she will plan and monitor parent engagement efforts, volunteer programs, or other initiatives.
“I’m honored to be appointed to this position,” Roberson said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to build on the skills I’ve developed in previous roles and use them to support students and families more effectively.”
Roberson, a California native, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from San Jose State University.
