Let’s give a big Charging Wildcat welcome to our newest addition, Zakkary Knoerr! Coach Knoerr is joining the NLR family as the Assistant Coach for both 9th Grade Boys Basketball and 9th Grade Boys Track. We are thrilled to have him on board to help lead our student-athletes to success! 🏀🏃♂️💨
On Wednesday, April 29th, our girls basketball team was recognized at the State Capitol for their accomplishment of winning the 6A State Championship. Goooooo Cats!!!
Last night our 9th grade boys Track and Field competed at the CAJHC Track Meet. Our team competed really well and set numerous personal and school records. We had several 8th graders who also set personal records and added to our overall point total.
Jayce Pittman placed 1st in Triple Jump (41-9.25), 1st in 200M (23.37), 2nd in 100M (11.27), and helped the 4X100 relay team set a new school Conference Meet record of 45.52 seconds.
Noah Fuqua placed 1st in High Jump with a height of 5'10.
8th Graders Ashton Pettus, Ayden Purnell, Jaice Sanders, and Kylan Slay set a new school best of 3:53.18 and placed 3rd.
Jon Goss set a new personal record in the shot put with a length of 43'1".
Other athletes setting new personal records were Khari Davis in shot put, Jonathan Taylor in Discus, and Brady Bolding in the 1600M.

Congratulations to our NLRHS Track & Field Varsity Boys 4x200 Meter Relay team. Last night at Conway Wampus Cats Track Meet Invitational, our 4x200 relay team broke the NLRHS school record with a time of (1:29.85). The 4x200 relay team consists of: Leon McDaniel, Andre Brown, Keyontae Barnett, & Jacorey Spann.
Also, last night Alex-Paulino Cruz broke his own NLRHS school record in the 1600m run with a time of (4:27.66) Earlier this season, Alex-Paulino-Cruz broke the NLRHS school record in the 3200m run with a time of (10:04.03).
That's 3 school records in one year!!!!!
These boys have been putting it on the track all season and last night it paid off. Congratulations to Coach Pettus and Coach Steward and our NLRHS Varsity Boys Track & Field Team. The future is bright at NLRHS.

Last year, Kynnedi Neal set the school record in the 100 dash running a 12.31 as a 9th grader. This year, at the Vilonia track meet, Kynnedi broke her own record again as a 10th grader running a 12.13 in the 100 dash! Kynnedi Neal is the fastest 10th grader in the state of Arkansas. We are so proud of her and all of her hard work💛💙

The 9th Grade Girls Track Team placed 4th overall at the Vilonia Track Meet on April 7th. Nikiyah Wilbert received the “Most Outstanding Performance” award! Nikiyah received first place in all 5 of her events which were long jump, 100 dash, 200 dash, 4x1 and 4x2!
