Attention Parents: We continue to monitor our COVID-19 data districtwide to make the best decisions for the health and safety of our students and employees. We recognize the number of active cases and quarantines are increasing; however, we value the importance and benefits of on-site instruction for our students. With this in mind, from Wednesday, January 12, 2022, to Tuesday, January 18, 2022, we will be implementing a phased-in approach that provides the choice of on-site or virtual, asynchronous instruction to meet the needs of our students and families. As a reminder, virtual, asynchronous instruction allows students to get and complete assignments daily but does not include live teaching. A student’s choice of instructional delivery will be documented by on-site attendance or by logging into Google Classroom. All students will return to campus for on-site instruction on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Families that choose the virtual, asynchronous instruction option must have their students log in to Google Classroom for attendance and to complete assignments. All students will follow their school’s attendance plan. Families that choose on-site, we will continue to wear masks, social distance when possible, and promote frequent hand washing. Parents, if your student notices a symptom, even if it feels like allergies or the common cold, he/she should get tested immediately and contact the district’s point of contact of a pending test and of the test results. The North Little Rock School District continues to monitor the impact of COVID-19 in our schools. This is a reminder from our earlier communication that the Seventh & Eighth Grade Campus will continue remote instruction for Thursday, January 6, 2022, and Friday, January 7, 2022.
