Amboy Elementary: NLRSD will have a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Friday 2/25/22. School will start at 9:50 a.m. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. m. Bus routes will be delayed 2 hours. The school day will end at the regular time of 2:35 p.m. There will be no early departure. Stay safe and warm! We'll see you all in the morning.

Sixth Grade Campus to Host Night to Discuss Electives All current fifth grade students and their parents are invited to attend a virtual meeting to hear about all of the electives that will be offered to them at the North Little Rock Middle School – Sixth Grade Campus. You should have received a message from the district regarding tomorrow being a remote learning day for students. As a result to expected inclement weather, all campuses will be closed Feb. 4, 2022.
We have sent home instructional packets for students to complete during inclement weather days. For students to receive attendance credit for the days missed, all work must be returned completed. Failure to return work will result in your child being marked absent for the inclement weather.
In the event your child was absent February 2, 2022, he or she will be given an opportunity to complete the assignments to receive attendance credit. Students may have up to five days to complete assignments upon return to campus.
You will receive communication from your child's teacher regarding their availability via dojo, phone call, or text message.

The North Little Rock School District has been made aware of Governor Asa Hutchinson’s mandate to end contact tracing. However, Governor Hutchinson has given school districts the ability to make health decisions in the best interest of students and staff.
Over the coming days, administrators and nurses in the district will review data and will make recommendations. These recommendations will be presented to the North Little Rock Board of Education in the form of a resolution.
For now, we will continue our current procedures regarding contact tracing and quarantines.
The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Dear Amboy Families,
You have all received information from the Superintendent regarding asynchronous and on-site learning for Wednesday, January 12 through Tuesday, January 18th. I am providing some information specific to Amboy.
First, thank you again for working with us. Each morning you will receive a short survey via Dojo and/or each teacher’s Google Classroom. It is very important for you to complete this survey for your family by 8:30 a.m. The survey results will assist us in many ways over the next few days.
If you plan to send your child to school, I believe it is important for you to know:
Classroom teachers may not be moving instruction forward. Teachers may be using the day to provide individualized interventions and extensions, and have students work independently on Lexia and Zearn. Depending on the number of students in a class, teacher attendance, and substitute availability, students may need to be placed in another class for the day. This means students may not be with their regular classroom teacher or with their regular classmates. We will, however, continue to wear masks, social distance when possible, and sanitize hands. If your child returns to school, he or she will need their device at school. Please charge the school computer or iPad, and return it to school the charger that was sent home.
If your child will be an asynchronous learner:
You will get information from the classroom teacher letting you know expectations for the asynchronous days. Attendance will still be taken, and assignments will still go in the gradebook. It is important that students who are at home (and not too sick to do so) complete all assignments by the due date.
If you plan on getting breakfast and lunch from the school, please complete this survey request for meals or complete the request on the attendance survey that will be sent via dojo or your child’s teacher’s google classroom each morning. Please complete by 8:30 a.m. in order for us to know which days you will need meals. This will help our Nutrition Services Manager have enough meals prepared. Meal distribution will be as follows:
On Thursday, January 12th, you may pick up meals between 11:00 and 1:00 at the school. You will get meals for both Thursday and Friday.
On Tuesday, January 18th, you may pick up meals between 11:00 and 1:00 at the school for Tuesday.
There is no school for staff or students on Monday, January 17th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The campus will be open and there will be no option for asynchronous learning on Wednesday, January 19th.
