Traiven Love has been appointed to serve as the assistant principal at North Little Rock 6 Academy of Agricultural & Veterinary Sciences – formerly Seventh Street Elementary School – beginning his professional journey as a school administrator.
Love is no stranger to the North Little Rock School District. He joined the district last school year as the math coach at the very campus where he will now serve as assistant principal. In that role, he led professional development to teachers on math curriculum and conducted classroom observations to offer educators feedback ways to enhance teaching and learning.
Prior to the NLRSD, Love taught in several districts in the Arkansas Delta. In the Pine Bluff School District, Love taught Algebra I in the Ninth Grade Academy. In the Marvell-Elaine School District, Love served as the Learning Loss Intervention Support Specialist, implementing strategies to address learning gaps in students. Love began his teaching career in the Watson Chapel School District, where he taught Algebra I at the junior high school.
“I'm excited about having a more direct impact on school-wide policies and procedures,” Love said. I will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall vision and climate of the school, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment for all students.”
Love earned a Master of Educational Leadership from Harding University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
