Good Morning Ridge Road Parents & Guardians,
We have several updates to share with you today.
Please be aware that with the rise of COVID cases, we could be facing some virtual learning days. We are not there yet, but it could be possible at any time. The safety of our school and students will be our top priority, and that is how all decisions will be made. If we go virtual, we will make sure devices are sent home with students.
Parents and guardians, if you have not already done so, please complete the Digital Equity Survey by using this link. It is a requirement from the Arkansas Department of Education for schools to have this information. The NLRSD elementary school building with the most surveys completed by Spring Break will receive a reward from the Director of Elementary Education, Mrs. Lori Smith! If we win Mr. How will come to school dressed in a Bigfoot costume!
If we pivot to 100% virtual learning, 1st-5th grade teachers will continue to provide instruction virtually according to this schedule.
Kindergarten classes will complete Lexia and Zearn on iPads. At this time, Google Meets will not occur for Kindergarten, but packets will be sent home.
It is important that 1st-5th grade students attend Google Meets. For now, attendance will be taken during the first Google Meet. Kindergarten attendance will be taken per logging in and completing time in Lexia.
In the event we need to pivot, please refer to the NLRSD Nutrition website for information about meals.
As we could possibly pivot to virtual learning, Hot spots are available as needed. Please contact your student’s teacher if you are in need of WiFi.
