Greg Pilewski Tapped as Next Superintendent of Schools

The North Little Rock Board of Education has selected Greg Pilewski, the current Deputy Superintendent of Queen Anne's County Public Schools in Centreville, Maryland, as its next Superintendent of Schools. 

“I am humbled by the support of the Board and the community to lead this school district and I look forward to working with all of our stakeholders to make the North Little Rock School District the very best it can be to benefit every child we serve,” Pilewski shared.

Board President Dorothy Williams expressed her sentiments surrounding the selection of Pilewski and the process at-large. “We appreciate all of the Candidates interested in this position and are eager to move the North Little Rock School District forward with Mr. Greg Pilewski as our leader.”

The North Little Rock School District retained the services of Ray and Associates, Inc. located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to assist it in the search for a new Superintendent. Ray and Associates met with the Board of Education and conducted numerous stakeholder and community meetings to determine qualities and characteristics most desired in its new Superintendent. Those individuals interviewed for the position, in consideration of criteria developed by the district, were selected from forty-two (42) completed applications.

An official start date will be discussed during contract negotiations in the coming week. The North Little Rock School District looks forward to welcoming Mr. Pilewski into its community and for the opportunities to come.
